Basically, everything!
I'm afraid I hadn't updated this website for some 5 or 6 years. That meant that, first of all, the compositions during those last 5 or 6 years had not been placed on the old website. But, in addition, back when I worked with the old website, MP3 (compressed) sound files did not exist. Either one listened to the not-very-good sound of the embedded MIDI files, or one took an hour or so to download a humongous WAV file. MP3 files take a little while to download (compared to the instantaneous embedded MIDI files) but they are only a fraction of the original WAV files. So the whole website had to be reworked around the new MP3 paradigm and the new MP3 files had to be created. At the same time, I had moved through different generations of sequencers (from my old Opcode "Vision" program to my new eMagic "Logic" program) and the new material had to be reworked to produce satisfactory "General MIDI files" (as discussed on my About page).
In addition, many of the old references on my Links page were out of date and had to be corrected or completely rewritten.
So basically, everything you see on this music website is new as of mid July 2004.
Unfortunately, if you stray into any of the other parts of our larger RodMer website (covering poetry, short stories, painting, and sculpture), you will find the pages seriously out of date. I hope to get at overhauling and updating them in the coming months.
