A look at the End of Oil (passing the global oil production peak)
Here's what was new at SwallowHill during Summer 2005
We overhauled this whole section -- as part of the general overhaul of our whole website -- hopefully navigation around this site will be a little more comprehensible now
Unfortunately, three of our owners have died recently:
The oldest (and largest) was our standard poodle, Mady, who died Jul 10/05 -- 3 months past her normal life expectancy of 15 years -- she had a long and happy life and gave joy to everyone who knew her -- we all miss her terribly
Next was Bravo (Mr. B) -- the last of Cleo's three boys -- a bit of a wanderer but a sweet companion and head-bumper, he disappeared around Jul 1/05 and was, we're afraid, probably eaten by the many coyotes roaming the nearby fields (and more active recently than in past years)
Finally, the youngest (only 11 months) was our new and dear friend Princess Pedigree, who disappeared the night of Aug 5/05 and was likewise, we're afraid, probably eaten by coyotes (we try to keep all our animals indoors at night but occasionally one slips away)
This leaves our remaining five owners:
Laijka, Kiisu, Cleo, Diva, and Tippy
Stories about all our owners (present and past) can be found on the Owners Page
In particular, our remaining dog, Laijka, (newly promoted senior dog) has been left a little confused -- she was so used to following her big friend around
